The "most dangerous path in the world" is reopening for its third season after a gruesome accident caused it to close for 15 years.

The Caminito del Rey is a precarious walkway pinned to the edge of a gorge in southern Spain. After five people plummeted to their deaths in two years, the wooden walkway was closed for renovations in 2001.

But it has since been reopened with tighter safety regulations. The three-foot-wide path is now secured to the side of the gorge with steel bolts. It takes visitors between three and four hours to complete the five-mile route. Everybody is now required to wear a helmet as they cross the walkway.

The path dangles over a 300-foot drop and provides fantastic views of the El Chorro gorge. It was built over 100 years ago to give workers access to two hydroelectric plants in the area.

Since its reopening in 2015, daredevils have flocked to the Caminito in Spain's Málaga province. In the past two years, over 600,000 tourists -- mostly foreign -- have walked across and lived to tell the tale. Those who thrive on adrenaline rushes should make a special stop at the walkway's glass platform, where visitors can get a bird's eye view of the drop below.

Strange brothel comes to Vegas

Raiders brothel comes to Vegas

Now that the Oakland Raiders are officially moving to Las Vegas, at least one Nevada business mogul is hoping to score big with a new twist on the world's oldest profession.

Dennis Hof, the owner of the infamous Bunny Ranch brothel near Carson City, Nev., has announced plans to open a Raiders-themed bordello to cater to sports fanatics near Sin City.

"I've had a license for a seventh brothel near Las Vegas for some time now, but I was waiting for the right time to launch another house of debauchery," Hof explained in a press release. "The Raiders coming to Vegas will mean big business for me, so my next sex den will honor the 'Men in Black' and their 'Raider Nation.’”

The new bordello, which Hof is calling the “Pirate’s Booty Sports Brothel,” will open sometime before the end of the year in Crystal, just over an hour’s drive from the Las Vegas Strip.

According to the press release, Hof is hoping his “sex palace” will also cater to incoming athletes in addition to as die-hard football fans. He’s already extended a half-off deal for all Raiders players and staff, and he plans to build a VIP suite for their exclusive use.

Hof, however, said there's one small detail he still hasn't managed to iron out.

“(We’ll be) staffed with a collection of cheerleader-garbed working girls called either the 'Wide Receivers' or 'Tight Ends,’” said Hof. “I haven't yet decided."

Coachella revelers track down man suspected of stealing dozens of phones, police say

Coachella revelers used the “Find My iPhone” app to track down an alleged phone thief during the festival over the weekend, California police said.

The music fans followed Reinaldo De Jesus Henao around the grounds until he was detained by security workers at the event, Indio police said. Police said they found more than 100 cellphones in Henao’s backpack.

“A bunch of people activated their ‘find my phone’ and pointed at, ‘Hey, it’s that guy, my phone, my dot, it’s moving with that guy,’ ” Indio police Sgt. Dan Marshall said

Henao, 36, of New York, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and possession of stolen property, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Police said several phones were returned and the others were left at the lost and found.

17th-century smart lock was really smart

Designed by John Wilkes, the lock was used on a door to a room where valuables were kept, according to description of the lock on the Museum’s website. It was made in Birmingham, England of brass and engraved steel, with restorations, and has a cast steel key.

So, how secure and smart was this smart lock forerunner? The security features include:

--By cocking the hat of the soldier (embossed on the lock cover), you could secure the lock quickly

--To unlock, you would turn the knob as the hat is pushed down

--The keyhole is concealed by the soldier's leg, which operates on a pivot. When a button is pressed, the leg swings forward to reveal the keyhole

--The key turns both bolts and a further turn “shoots” the main bolt

One of the most intriguing features was its “detector lock” technology, which counts each time it is unlocked. “This told the owner if the door had been opened in his absence,” according to a video posted by the museum.

And that’s not all: when the dial reached 100, a tiny button reset the dial.

Ohio cocaine oops: Suspect drops bag of drugs in court

Judge Mark Mihok says it is a first. Courtroom security cameras were rolling as 39-year-old Lemar Reed, of Lorain, Ohio, walked up to enter a plea on a minor traffic violation.

That's when Reed unknowingly dropped a bag of cocaine out of his baseball cap onto the floor.

It wasn't until about an hour later when the courtroom security officer noticed the bag of drugs on the floor.

"He picked it up, looked at it, and saw a white powdery substance. We had it field tested by the Lorain Police Department and it tested positive for cocaine," said Mihok.

Judge Mihok says his staff reviewed the security footage until they saw Reed's drop.

A warrant was then immediately issued for his arrest.

"He was only here for a traffic ticket. He made a simple traffic ticket with only the penalty of a fine into a felony. So, not a good day for him," said Judge Mihok.

Cleveland police are seeking to identify a woman who pulled a gun on a barber because her son’s $6 haircut was taking too long.'

Cleveland police released video of a woman they say pulled a gun on a barber because her 7-year-old son’s haircut was taking too long.

“I got two clips. I’ll pop you,” the woman is heard telling her son’s barber, a student at the Allstate Barber College, where the incident took place on April 14, Fox 32 Chicago reported on Friday.

Cleveland police are now looking for the woman.

They say the woman pulled the weapon after complaining several times about how long it was taking to cut her son’s hair.

A woman in Arizona said she made a stunning discovery inside a new purse she bought at a Walmart: A note apparently written by a desperate prisoner in China.

Laura Wallace found the message, written in Chinese, tucked inside the zipper compartment of the purse she purchased at a Sierra Vista Walmart.

Wallace had a Chinese-speaking person translate the note to English. The letter read:

"Inmates in the Yingshan Prison in Guangxi, China are working 14 hours daily with no break/rest at noon, continue working overtime until 12 midnight, and whoever doesn't finish his work will be beaten. Their meals are without oil and salt. Every month, the boss pays the inmate 2000 yuan, any additional dishes will be finished by the police. If the inmates are sick and need medicine, the cost will be deducted from the salary. Prison in China is unlike prison in America, horse cow goat pig dog (literally, means inhumane treatment)."

Two other people translated the note to make sure the message was accurate, Wallace added.

“I'm very sure that that's exactly what the note says,” she told KVOA.

Wallace said she wanted to share the note to bring awareness to the situation.

"I don’t want this to be an attack on any store," Wallace said. "That's not the answer. This is happening at all kinds of places and people just probably don't know."

Walmart issued a statement to KVOA on the incident. "We can’t comment specifically on this note, because we have no way to verify the origin of the letter, but one of our requirements for the suppliers who supply products for sale at Walmart is all work should be voluntary as indicated in our Standards for Suppliers."

Similar notes reportedly have turned up in items sold at stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and K-Mart in the past.

Family of boy killed on waterslide to receive $20 million settlement

Schlitterbahn spokeswoman Winter Prosapio in an email to The Star that Caleb’s family and the others affected will “forever be in our thoughts and prayers.” The company previously announced it would tear down Verruckt once a court allows it, although it remains unclear when that will happen.

Verruckt — German for “insane” — featured multi-person rafts that made a 17-story drop at speeds of up to 70 mph, followed by a surge up a hump and a 50-foot descent to a finishing pool. During the ride, Caleb was decapitated, a person familiar with the investigation previously told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because that person was not authorized to speak publicly about the boy’s death. The two women who took the ride with Caleb suffered serious facial injuries. They have settled their claims against the companies involved in the making of Verruckt.

At the time of Caleb’s death, Kansas was known for its light regulation of amusement park rides. But last month, Republican Gov. Sam Brownback signed off on legislation that beefs up the state’s requirements.

A South Carolina mother has been accused of beating her young son after the boy made a Mother’s Day card for his grandmother, but not one for her.

Spartanburg Police said Shontrell Murphy, 30, repeatedly hit her 6-year-old son after ripping up the card, Fox Carolina reported.

Murphy was charged with cruelty to children. She was released from jail on a personal recognizance bond.

Police said they found the boy crying when they went to the home Thursday for a report of a disturbance, the station reported. Officers said the grandmother told them her daughter slapped her grandson multiple times around the head.
