excellent! if there's one thing we need to do in the desert during a drought, it's filled up man-made lakes with ridiculous amounts of water.

Las Vegas is a model of water efficiency. They have invested billions into recycling and reconditioning

plants out there. If most cities were even 1/4 as water efficient as Las Vegas there would be little if any need to worry about droughts.

A veteran Florida zookeeper known as "the tiger whisperer" died Friday after she was mauled by one of the big cats in her care.

Stacey Konwiser, 38, was pronounced dead at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where she had been rushed after the incident at around 1:45 p.m. local time.

Palm Beach Zoo spokesman Naki Carter told WSVN that the 13-year-old male Malayan tiger was not being exhibited when he attacked Konwiser and the public was never in danger. However, the zoo was placed on lockdown and about 25 guests were told to barricade themselves in the gift shop as a precaustion.

Carter said Konwiser was inside the tiger habitat, which is closed to the public, preparing for the zoo's daily 2 p.m. tiger show. It was not immediately clear what caused the tiger to attack her.

The tiger was tranquilized and authorities had to wait until the sedative took effect before they could come to Konwiser's aid, West Palm Beach police spokeswoman Lori Colombino said.

Truther is convicted of being a liar and now better shut his mouth and keep away from his victim.

There really should have been a provision for a good old fashioned ass kicking for this douche. Eventually he is going to get drunk in a bar and get one.

Dealing with a rusty bicycle chain can be a messy affair, but an innovative new bike from Ikea solves that pesky problem. The furniture retail giant recently introduced its new "Sladda" bike, which uses an oil-free and corrosion-resistant drive belt rather than a metal chain.

The drive belt is designed to last about 9,320 miles, which is about two to three times longer than a typical steel chain, according to Ikea. Moreover, the unisex Sladda bike has a "click system" that lets the rider snap on accessories, such as a basket, a bike bag rack and a towing trailer, the company said.

"Sladda is like tablet apps: You can add endless accessories to enhance ease of use," Oskar Juhlin, director of industrial design at Veryday, a company that partnered with Ikea to make the bicycle, said in a statement.

The new drive belt may be a boon to riders who take to their bikes even during inclement weather. Over time, steel bike chains tend to rust, particularly when they're covered with corrosive salt that's left on the roadways.

Harriet Tubman is the next face of the $20 bill; $5 and $10 bills will also change

Harriet Tubman and President Andrew Jackson lived on opposite sides of the American experience.

Tubman, a black woman, escaped slavery to become a conductor on the Underground Railroad, risking her life to lead slaves to freedom. Jackson, the son of Scots-Irish immigrants and owner of slaves, was elected president as a war hero and became known for policies that led to the deaths of countless Native Americans.

Soon, though, the two will share prominent placement on a new $20 bill — with Tubman, the former slave, getting top billing.

On Wednesday, Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew said Tubman would replace Jackson on the front of the $20 bill, becoming the first woman in more than a century and first African American to grace the front of a paper note. Jackson will be featured on the back of the bill alongside an image of the White House.
