Megachurch pastor seeks donations for pricey private jet

They know exactly what the bible says, they just twist the words and prey on people's desperation to make a buck

The church equivalent of reverse redlining where brokers preyed on economically depressed areas during the mortgage boom because lenders were offering stated and subprime loans to everyone.

Are you saying the televangelists don't understand what the Bible is saying or their followers don't?

Yes and yes.  The latter because the Gospel has been totally misrepresented by the televangelists they watch.

Almost all televangelists pimp the "prosperity gospel" which is no gospel at all.  They target desperate and vulnerable people by saying God will wipe out their monetary debts and heal their bodies, so long as they "sow a seed" by sending money to televangelists. Countless people fall for it, evidenced by televangelists living lives of luxury.

I'm here to tell you the vast majority of true Christians find these teachings absolutely abominable, and have no problem saying so, as is the case here:

Do they still do that thing in tents where the pastor puts his hand on people's head and they start convulsing and fall to the ground where they shake uncontrollably?

Woke up this morning and turned on the hotel tv and this dude was what came on. He was in a Spanish speaking country where he had his schtick, but with a translator attached at the hip trying to convey the same passion and emotion. It was great.

Apparently the dude is doing a tour of Europe right now.

Pretty boss to take your scamming to a global level.
