Only if he costs next to nothing and the Pads throw in at least 3 million like you suggested.

 

Not sure I'd give up any pitching depth for him though. Even someone like Rucinski. SD really has no leverage in trade negotiations with him so I think Stamets is the absolute most I'd be fine with the Angels giving up for him.

I'd prefer someone who can play the field but I wouldn't complain about Quentin getting added. I'd prefer to find a long term piece, though.

I'd rather just go with Cron for many of the DH starts (Pujols and Joyce the others).

In the long run, the only difference between Quentin and Cron is plate discipline.

And Quentin has fallen off of a cliff since 2012-13 anyway, and has only appeared in 218 games over the past 3 seasons.
