This could be what finally brings Hillary down

Recommended Posts

The DNC has to be shitting its collective pants(suits) right about now.  They had all their eggs in the Hillary basket and it looks like none of those eggs will hatch.  She's a lousy candidate but they'll still rally around her once Bernie fades, and hope that everyone else will too.

I'm a Republican, but I don't think it's bias to point out that the Dem field is made up of a liar who's accomplished nothing (Clinton), an old commie (Sanders vacayed in the Soviet Union), and possibly the dumbest person in any room and quite possibly even in the Angels dugout when Hamilton was on the team (Biden).

They have a credible alternative in Webb, but he might not be down with dudes using chick bathrooms or some other disqualifier.

If you're going to correct grammar, you better know what you're talking about or you'll end up being twice as embarrassed as you intended the other person to be.

Bias is a noun. I was saying that bias, the idea, a noun, is not causing my opinion. It's like saying, "I don't think it's anger..."

How can you call anyone else dumb when you don't know the difference between bias and biased?

Also, I know a few people who have vacationed in Russia. None of them are commies. Nice to see you're stuck in the 80s, politically.

Upon further review it could go either way, so I will cop to being half-wrong.  If you put "biased" in place of "bias" it works because of the tense, but indeed "bias" is also correct.  I concede that in this instance, you are correct.

I think Sanders went because he admired communism, not to help orphans. He would probably think your dad was a fascist oppressor.

Nice to know you're not just a psychic, but that your psychic powers defy time.

Nice to see you stuck in the 1870s.

How is what I said indicative of the 1870s?  As for you and your constant comments about communists and Marxists, that's definitely circa 1980s and before.  You can barely go one post without mentioning some cold war relic of thought.

Juan, do you understand the difference between communism and socialism?

There's no official difference. Early communists called themselves socialists. Unofficially, socialism is what people called themselves to distinguish themselves from Soviets and, earlier, atheists and anarchists, not because of a difference in economic philosophy, but in methods, maybe, and in things not relating to economics, like religion.

What you're trying to say, I'm guessing from experience, is that socialism is less absolute than communism i.e., that it will allow some ownership of property and not mandate atheism, etc. It could be democratic. Yours is a popular misunderstanding that comes about from lack of historical knowledge.

Therefore, communism and socialism are the same philosophically when it comes to property. Marxist ideas have since transferred to sex and race where most of the energy in wealthy countries is.

I think you're clumsily looking for some insult and think you've found it by saying my ideas are from the 80s. Such a charge requires no defense because it's meaningless. That's like saying your idea that people should get a minimum wage is from the 1870s where the idea originated.
