The man, carrying a backpack, was shot in Schaerbeek district after refusing to obey police orders, media say. Explosions were also heard.

Ten other suspects have been held in Belgium, Germany and France.

It's what shaped me into what I am today.

Ive been saying for years we should be in bed with india. The indians are a natural buffer to china politics wise, and have a mutual interest in keeping pakistans nukes where they are. They also have a top notch military, unlike the ducks we normally partner with (not the west, but in terms of SWA).

The indians also have a booming economy.

They blew up more people in Baghdad today, mostly Shiites.

I just read where yesterday was the 100th anniversary of the Sykes-Picot agreement, which carved up the old Ottoman Empire and created the modern Middle East. Iraq was one of the countries drawn up on a piece of paper. So this mess is starting on its second century.
