Had a brief today at work in reference to san bernardino and a few other cases the feds are working. I can say that the problem here in the US has the potential to get a lot worse, and that there will be copycats in our future.

The other guy is smartly using technology and our laws against us...its one of those things where we arent really going to stop very many who are serious about doing something, and will continue to only be able to react.

I dont have anything remotely close to a solution. Just crossing fingers the other guy screws up and gets sloppy before hes able to do anything real

What does attacking ISIS do?  Do people really think that if we attacked ISIS the SB shootings wouldn't have happened?  If not ISIS, those guys would have killed for some other cause.  We are never going to get rid of these extremist groups.  It is why fighting against ISIS is so dumb.  First it was the taliban and al queda, now ISIS, then there will be another group, and another.

 

We should be focused on guarding our borders, stopping illegal immigration, stop illegal gun sales, etc.  I am not saying more government snooping, but we have plenty of things outside of that that can be improved.  For example not letting people in this country on a visa if they plan on killing a large group of people.

 

I think we need to completely shut down immigration for several years to get population growth under control anyway.

The Immigration Act of 1924 basically shut down immigration for about 40 years. There were nine dissenting votes in the Senate and only a handful of opponents in the House. There were many provisions in the law, including a total ban on Arab and Asian immigrants.
