ISIS delenda est

So it appears they've killed about 33 ISIS fighters in all these bombing raids. Out of an estimated 25,000 total.

Nice little war that should last another century or so at this rate.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group said on Wednesday the bombardments have killed at least 33 Islamic State militants over the past three days.

Citing activists, the Observatory said Islamic State members and dozens of families of senior members had started fleeing Raqqa to relocate to Mosul in neighboring Iraq.

French prosecutors have identified five of the seven dead assailants from Friday -- four Frenchmen and a man who was fingerprinted in Greece last month after arriving in the country via Turkey with a boatload of refugees fleeing the Syria war.

Police believe two men directly involved in the assault subsequently escaped, including Salah Abdeslam, 26, a Belgian-based Frenchman who is accused of having played a central role in both planning and executing the deadly mission.

Don't believe anything coming from "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights".  It's basically a one-man organization operating out of Britain and the guy running it admitted he hasn't been to Syria in 15 years.  SOHR has been caught lying more often times than not about Assad and most recently about the Russian bombing campaign.  The fact it's funded by the EU pretty much says it all.

It's a misnomer to call them "suicide vests".

They're homicide vests, mass murder vests, massacre vests. If the person simply wanted to commit suicide, they could stand in the middle of a field and do it.

The real intention is to kill as many innocents as possible. Life means nothing to these maniacs, including their own lives. The vest helps them to get closer to crowds of people without being noticed. They've got young women doing it now, who are even less apt to arouse suspicion.

IS Group Says It Has Killed Norwegian, Chinese Captives

Perfect excuse for China to get in on the party.

IMO, thats paramount. The chinese need stable oil reserves at least as much as we do, if not more. But theyve stayed out of this all because they have a good relationship with the paks, iranians, etc. No need to get involved in the conflict.

If they decided to do so, it could be a total game changer. (Wont happen though)

Eight ISIS suspects arrested in Istanbul, posing as refugees headed for Germany.

http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/620249/Eight-arrested-Istanbul-airport-amid-ISIS-fears

Police sources said one of the suspects had a hand-drawn picture of a planned route from Turkey to Germany, via Greece, Serbia and Hungary.

It is believed the group are Islamic State militants planning to make their way to Germany posing as refugees.

The arrests come after an ISIS terrorist bragged about how easy it was to smuggle thousands of covert jihadists into Europe under the guise of being a desperate refugee.

The Syrian operative claimed more than 4,000 covert ISIS gunmen had made it into western nations, hidden among innocent refugees.

so glad our president and governor have promised really stringent vetting of these refugees. i'm sure gov. moonbeam has already been on the phone with the damascus DMV.

ISIS was created by Obama and now Obama wants to show them off some.  Even Dr. Frankenstein couldn't keep his monster locked up all the time. No Obama, no ISIS, no ISIS, no refugees.  Thanks Obama.

A residual force of 10,000 American soldiers probably would have prevented ISIS from taking over huge parts of Iraq and then moving to Syria.

But no, Obama just had to end what he called "Bush's war" to gain some political points.

How long should we have kept them there? Just until all the radicals in the ME could be rounded up?

The US doesn't want to destroy ISIS. If that was the case we would have already done it. The CIA wanted to keep them slightly weakened. Just enough to rally against Assad without causing to much trouble. Whoops.

meh, cant really defeat them from the air.

The maps show this huge swath of territory, but the reality is they hold key points in mostly wasteland. The problem is those key points are population centers, and a huge chunk of the people are more or less hostages.

We cant really invade syria unless we wish to take our involvement to an entirely new level. Iraq we could do more, and baghdad wants us to, but the reality is they would just fall back accross the border, wed clear out the cities...and leave...and theyd come back.

The iraqi army was borh trained and equipped to stop them...their refusal to do it is why this happened, ot because we allowed it.

Still cant believe the iraqi army has let this go on for more than a year...but then a good chunk of the army orobably agrees with a lot of what isis is doing. Thats the problem.

You almost have to wonder if that wouldnt be more ideal.

And if it is...you have to reallllly accept just how incredibly stupid OIF was (if you already dont)
