I will almost certainly change my mind, but today, I'm looking at these:

$50 W = $50

Suddenbreakingnews

$10 Exacta = $10

Suddenbreakingnews / Nyquist

$1 Exacta = $19

ALL / Suddenbreakingnews

$5 Exacta (2 x 3) = $30

Nyquist, Suddenbreakingnews

Gun Runner,  Brody's Cause, Mo Tom

$.50 Trifecta (1 x 6 x 10) = $27

Nyquist

Suddenbreakingnews, Gun Runner, Brody's Cause, Mo Tom, My Man Sam, Tom's Ready

Suddenbreakingnews, Gun Runner, Brody's Cause, Mo Tom, My Man Sam, Tom's Ready, Mor Spirit, Exaggerator, Creator, Destin

$1 Superfecta (1 x 1 x 3 x 5) = $12

Nyquist

Suddenbreakingnews

Gun Runner, Brody's Cause, Mo Tom

Gun Runner, Brody's Cause, Mo Tom, My Man Sam, Tom's Ready

Total = $148

Only problem I see with the above is you will only have a $1 exacta Nyquist-SBN.

You have..

$10 Exacta = $10

Suddenbreakingnews / Nyquist

 $5 Exacta (2 x 3) = $30

Nyquist, Suddenbreakingnews

Gun Runner, Brody's Cause, Mo Tom

Box your $10 exacta..

Trust me, I've done what you are doing, covering all of your best guesses and leaving out something obvious...

and that's the one that seems to come in..

I starting to seriously consider using Mohaymen, thinking his Florida Derby was just a clunker.

He's working really well, and I like the McLaughlin/ Alvarado connex and the Tapit breeding.

I have a funny feeling he might really fire at CD.

Gonna have to wait to see what the track is going to be like to make final decisions, but he's got my attention and +800 is really tempting.

Something I ran into today...Google search page was celebrating the 100th birthday of a guy named Claude Shannon, a  math genius and theorist..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude_Shannon

So in reading about him, turns out one of his contemporaries was a guy named Nyquist..

Harry Nyquist to be exact..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Nyquist

So in conclusion...Nyquist is obviously going to win going away..

Mohaymen second.

Interestingly, mor spirit is a ridgeling... (male with undescended balls)

Eskendereya by Giants Causeway...nice breeding

I remember Eskendereya...would have been a favorite for the derby but was scratched late.

good article...maybe Mor Spirit can avenge Eskendereya's bad luck?

Shaping up to be an interesting race.

Wish I owned a piece of Uncle Mo or Tapit. Lord.

No kiddin..hell I would love to BE Uncle Mo or Tapit for a week in the summer.

I'm starting to get excited for the TC racing season..

My racing year sorta hinges on the Derby.

It's such a great money making race if you can get it right and load up just a little..it can start a guy out for the season with a nice little racing bankroll.

Should be getting a handle on the weather there soon..

Some other breeding news and information.

The $100 Million Superhorse Powering This Year's Kentucky Derby

(Uncle Mo)

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-05-02/new-yorker-s-100-million-stud-is-taking-over-the-kentucky-derby

That was my strat for kentucky derby futures this year.  Bet all the Uncle Mo horses.  There were 4 on the derby trail in November, Uncle Lino was one of them, forget the other two, and Nyquist.  Only Nyquist and forgot the name of the horse was bettable.
