Pleased to see this -- hope he has a good year for them and then hangs 'em up going out with a stellar season.

 

He did not get a chance to wear a home uniform in the new ballpark there and now he does........

They pay him 10 million because nobody would want to play for the Twins.  Another classic overpay by a team just trying to get SOMETHING in the offseason.  

 

But if I were him I would have taken less to just go on a contender even as a 4th outfielder.  I would have loved to have him on the Angels as a 4th OF, he would inevitably start when someone gets injured.  Hes always wanted a World Series, so I dont understand going back to the Twins other than the money.

Yeah -- Twins were terrible last season -- not expected to be much better in 2015 --- just like Griffey Jr. did for Seattle -- Torii can do for Minnesota......put some tails in the seats.

 

and while folks remember Griffey Jr.'s mid-season exit from Seattle -- he did have one decent return season with them -- it was stretching into a second year that caught up with him.....but to Griffey's credit -- he didn't hang around to the bitter end of the season -- he pretty much up and left when he realized it wasn't working for him.......

I think it's more than putting butts in the seats. The Twins have a lot of good young players and I think he will be mentoring them.

That's dumb. Hunter's production has been among the most consistent the past seven seasons as anybody in baseball.
