I would love to come out in Oct but probably not.  Once we buy a house we will make a few trips out to socal.  Trying to get a huge ass down payment on whatever we buy so we limit our debt.

 

Smart move.

Cash is king.

But money is cheap nowadays.

Arguments can be made for both sides: buying in cash, or using the bank's money and investing your cash.

I have heard it both ways too.  Financially I am probably losing some money this way but if we do a 15 year term it lines up nicely with my Daughter finishing college.  Allows us to have a ton of freedom.

Awesome, sounds like in 15 years you will have lots of expenses coming off the books and a house that you own, that's great!  Only other big expense with the kid will be her wedding.  I wonder what those are gonna cost a couple decades from now?

I can not stay awake today. I haven't felt this tired in months.

Nuked a hornets nest 5 feet outside my front door last night.  

 

Used the raid spray can and drenched it. 

 

It was very satisfying seeing all of their corpses this morning, and now the wind is just blowing it all away. 

 

i used to get some kind of wasps in my classroom. would (thankfully) always find them after school. they stayed up high by the top of the windows, about 10 feet high, and i learned to kill them with a hockey stick. probably nailed about a dozen over the years. the message went out, and they haven't been back in several years.

my brother took the test twice and failed it. he's made a very nice living for himself as a private contractor for several businesses, doing their books and handling their audits.

 

good luck on your first attempt, but don't beat yourself up if you don't pass it the first time.
