Prices dropped a ton the last couple days.  Drove by a nearby gas station at $1.59.

The drop in oil prices is killing the economy in Mexico. As of today, a peso is worth about five cents. When I was in Mexico about nine years ago, it was worth twice that (roughly 9-10 pesos to the dollar). Oil is about ten percent of Mexico's exports.

Actually, based on the old rate of oil/gas, the rest of the country is getting screwed a little too, just not like California is.

Oil at $30 in the past = around $1.25/gallon gas.

we have two mobil stations in glendale. the guys who set their prices are morons. have driven by them twice this week. one guy has regular at $3.39, and the other guy has it for $3.59.
