Great. Furyk is gonna make the Rider cup team again. Maybe 2018...

 

They changed the way players qualify.  With the Ryder Cup in 2016, the only tournaments that have any bearing in 2015 are the majors.  

 

This win does nothing for Furyk's chances of making the 2016 team......now this win helps the Presidents Cup, but no one really cares about that the way people care about the Ryder Cup.

well there was quite a blow up at the 18th today between keegan bradley and miguel angel jimenez. keegan's ball was on the cart path and the rules official was there to make sure it was placed in the proper place. the mechanic walked over (he was playing bradley in the match) and started saying or questioning what needed to be done. at some point he told bradley's caddy to shut up, and bradley nearly lost his mud. the caddy was pissed, too.

 

back in the clubhouse, the two of them really got into it according to a golf channel reporter who witnessed the confrontation, as well as one of the rules officials. neither apologized or offered to shake hands.

 

don't know if this is an isolated thing and it's over, or if there'll be carryover to the next event their both in. not too often you see golfers getting in each other's face about something.

48-year old Jerry Kelly is tied with Na at the top of the leaderboard. He hasn't won an event in six years.

 

And Jordan Spieth, among other notables, missed the cut.
