A's Gameday Thread

They get to face Texas and Philadelphia for the next 6 games after Seattle.  Then we can finally end their season for good when we play them for 3.  After that its back to Texas for them.

They can probably win that last game vs Seattle because its Lester vs. Young, but I wouldnt call that a safe bet either.  They would still be tied with Seattle after the series was over.

That's the unfortunate thing. This cupcake schedule may save them from completing their collapse (missing the postseason).

Those 7 games against the Rangers will be huge for them.

The A's schedule looks favorable after the next 2 games vs the M's. But we play the M's last series of the season so if we rest the starters, we can really hurts the A's chances.

We might not be able to do that. We need to stay ahead of Baltimore for best record and home field advantage. That's a big plus for us, the way we play at the Big A. Baltimore is showing no signs of letting up.

The Phillies are playing much better lately. They might give the A's some real trouble.

Texas will probably roll over and play dead, though.

It'd be really ironic if this was the year the A's won the World Series.

Or at least got past the first round without Frank Thomas on the team.

Which is exactly why the Angels need to eliminate them for good in the next series against them.

Any team with Lester, Samardjia and Gray is dangerous in the playoffs.

Big Bump Tuesday!

The A'ths shuffled their rotation so that Kazmir is ahead of Samardzija, and Kazmir will miss the Halos next week.

Who is now tentatively scheduled to start game 1 of the ALDS vs. the Halos and pitch twice if going the full 5 games, if the A'ths win the WC game?

Yep, Kazmir

Lester would start the WC game, and then the rotation for the ALDS would be Kazmir, Samardzija, Lester, Gray (if needed), and Kazmir (if needed).
