Herrera was just in the minors in 2009-2010, missed 2011 and 2012, Did independent ball in 2013, and then we signed him. 

 

Sounds like a pretty solid pickup.

Herrera isn't horrible, he just isn't good either.  As for the replacement, I think Roth is probably ahead of Wolf on the depth chart.  It will be short term though.  Angels will trade for Cahill.

Going back to the well again in trading with Arizona. Cahill is barely a fifth starter. If he got 6 starts the rest of the way hope he can win at least 2 of them. Wolf or Roth against the A's is a scary proposition.

It would literally be the definition of insanity to expect different results from Randy Wolf.

he tries but gets ripped pretty good and Halos experiment with LeBlanc in the rotation is over after four innings (might have been over in the third).

 

So the Halos DFA LeBlanc but don't cry Wolf. Interesting.

 

We'll see who shows up as the starter Saturday night........probably Herrera........

They said something on the radio broadcast last night about Herrera NOT starting, but being strictly relief. They didn't mention who would be starting though.
