Yep, Scherzer, Price, Sanchez, Verlander, and Porcello >>>> Lester, Kazmir, Gray, Samardzjia, and Chavez.

 

That may minimize the average at best bullpen that the Tigers have.

It's basically counting on dominant starting pitching, and Cabrera/dos Martinez' to supply the offense with help from Hunter, Kinsler, and Castellanos.

They do lose a lot defensively in CF by trading Jackson.

Even if the Angels make it past a 1 game playoff they have to get through that gauntlet to make the WS.  Chances are very unlikely.

It's tough every year.  That's why winning it all is never guaranteed or easily accomplished.  Plenty of teams have gotten hot at the right time to carry them through the playoffs.

Samardzija has been fine but not great since he came over and Lester can't pitch without Farrell around. Angels still take the division. But if the season it over, I guess some of you can take the rest of the year off?
