He's been really struggling of late, so it isn't only about the spotlight. 1 HR in July, none in June. His OPS was at a season high of 1.074 on May 29th; since then he's hit .263/.329/.391 in 173 PA and just 1 HR. Not terrible, but a bad slump for Puig.

He was on fire in may, and its carrying his season totals. Like last year, he hit 7 home runs in his first month, and then 10 over the next 3. He seems like a very streaky hitter.

Ill say this, his walks are up this year and is striking out less. I still think hes very overrated though

I'm not sure if they necessarily mean the best, but they say he's the most "electric"

Puig can carry a team when he's hot, but he has a ten cent head on his shoulders, and that's something that will prevent him from being a great player.

I honestly don't understand how people think he's better than Trout. Trout excels at everything better than Puig does, except for stupid base running and speeding tickets.
