Hamas hasn't the intellectual maturity to even try another course of action, one that may have led to a better end result for the people they govern. No one "backs" terrorism. The fact you can't separate them from the people living in Palestine is exactly why blindly supporting Israel is fucking retarded. 

Also, if Israel this force of power as you say, then surely Hamas would have been wiped off the map by now, no?

The Hamas leadership doesn't reside in Palestine or Gaza. You have seen the blowback when they take out one of them in Yemen or Iran. If left by their own means, Israel probably would wipe the entire lot of them out, stomping on Arab leadership toes the entire way. That triggers the war Iran wants to incite. 

And, the Palistinians are not innocent. They have chosen to be led by the likes of the PLO and now Hamas. This is their choice to go this road instead of purging their territories of these terrorists, setting up a true government that works on the economy and education, not petty badgering of their neighbors to the point no nation wants even their refugees. That's pretty sad when millions of Syrians fled to relocation camps but nobody will take in a Palistinian.

I’m sure you’d love to hold yourself to the same standard that you are personally responsible for everything your government does. In that case, the 9/11 victims weren’t innocent because they directly or indirectly elected the government that pissed off the Saudis and Taliban.

Most of the people in Palestine today are terrorist and their offspring. That’s why Egypt and surrounding Muslim nations and Europe doesn’t invite them. Europe has taken all the rejects from Syria and Iraq yet refuse these people. That should tell you how radical these folks are.

Look at the demographics of Palestine. It’s a fairly young country because they all become terrorist around 13 and die young. There’s less than 50k Palestinians in Gaza over 65. Maybe only 100k total over 50. The only thing left in Gaza is terrorist, future terrorist, and terrorist breeders.
