Andersen has seen diminished play time with Gibson up.  Both are young and streaky.  There is no clear #1.

I have no idea who we're going with come game 1. Its gonna be another interesting goalie controversy. I think Freddie is the better choice but with his recent game play I can see why Gibby would get the nod. Defense needs to help out though and we need to get the PP in line. ****ing hideous.

I am wondering why they went from every other game, to like 4 games in a row with the goalies.  Every other game, at least the goalies know.  And with the quality of both, they probably would deal with it.  But this 4 games on, then off however many.  Talk about throwing both goalies off their games.  

 

It's like Bruce thinks that shuffling lines should extend to goalies too.

I have little to no confidence that either of these guys are ready for a Cup run.

Andersen has not looked impressive since returning from injury. Gibson is young and streaky, but he was riding a nice hot streak before it was thrown of by BB wanting to get Andersen back into action. I have no issues with that either, Andersen was the man for most of the season. However right now, I feel like Gibson is the more confident goalie. The last time he was given a day off, he came back and looked so-so but proceeded to turn it on. I honestly didn't expect much from him last night coming into replace Freddie. 

 

I would like to see BB pick one from here on out and roll with him. Let whoever he picks develop their confidence and get into a good streak here. Right now, I feel more comfortable with Gibson. He lets off fat rebounds, but I feel he is more athletic and has shown the ability to be a brick wall when he's feeling it.

While I don't want to write him off yet.  But anyone getting the deja vu of Hiller?  Hiller got that concussion and vertigo, and was never the same goalie again.  I'm wondering if Anderson got a severe concussion, and he's still feeling the effects.  Which is why his starts are very sporatic.

Pretty much I agree with what is said.  Hopefully the Wiz will start to gel.

People now freaking out cause Fowler is a healthy scratch today. The starting 6 are all going to get a game off before the playoffs. Also, he's looked like crap recently. He needs it.

Surprised to hear that they have the second highest possession numbers. That's always been a knock on the Ducks.

Yeah Wiz has been bad.  Sekac and Despres have looked good.  Getting Vatanen back seems like the biggest boost.

I have been impressed the most with Depres and Sekac. I think with the way Depres is playing, he needs to be in the lineup come playoff times.

 

We just got shelled by the Rangers, I am perfectly fine with Fowler being a healthy scratch.

Unbelievable. The refs are abysmal in this game.

wow, the refs are awful in this game. they miss a high stick, they missed a hit to the head, and then they miss an obvious goalie interference that lead to a goal against the Ducks.

Why is it, that other teams take liberties on the ducks, and it's never called.  

 

And people like Quick flop around like they were shot, and it gets called against the ducks?

Ugh, annoying game. It seems like the team was deflated when they allowed that second goal to stand. How was that not goalie interference?

Boll will have a hearing in person for his hit on Maroon.  Means 5+ game suspension a possibility.

 

It was a BS hit and Maroon was obviously concussed.

 

Ducks were stupid after that hit though and were just playing to hit instead of playing to score.

I don't mind if we lose some of these games down the stretch but not if we're flat our embarrassed in the games. Doesn't encourage much confidence going into April.

Am I the only one who doesn't think they played that bad last night? They flat out dominated the first and third periods. Admittedly, they have to clean up their play in the second. I'm still fuming at how bad some of the calls were last night.

They looked great in the first. I am just pissed because it was after the 7-2 ass whooping the Rangers put on us. 

 

I was shocked Maroon was still in that game after that hit. 

 

Cogliano's goal last night was awesome.

Yeah, last night's game wasn't terrible. I'm still referring more towards the NYR game. A game against CBJ though, we should have won that game easily.

Wiz or Lindholm.  However, I wouldn't be opposed for Beauchemin being a healthy scratch. I was annoyed by him getting all twisted last night and giving up that goal because he wanted to lay a check.

Yeah, that was half the team though to be honest.

 

Lindholm has actually been solid.  He is one of the few guys on the team that doesn't ever seem to have down games.  He is not the greatest D man but consistent.

Ok, somebody help me out here. If both wild card teams come out of the central, do the Ducks automatically play the 5th place team (in the central) or does it depend on who has the best record in the conference?
