From what I've read Sekera, Michalek, Franson, Phaneuf (more speculation than anything), and Petry, among others of course.

Sekera would be a great addition as would Michalek. Both are rentals, which the Ducks usually avoid. I think they should take a run at one of those two and then look for a LW who could play with the twins.

Maroon isn't a world beater or anything, but he seemed to be building good chemistry with the twins. I'd like to see him back on that line until the top LW spot is figured out.

As far as the playoff question... won't really care or have a guess if the Ducks aren't there. 

 

Regarding Halobob's prediction that it will be the Ducks... I have no clue at this point what kind of a team will show up at the playoffs. This team is BM's big guess as to what will take the Ducks past an LA team that probably won't even be there this year. It should be interesting.

Yep.  One of my only gripes about BB is that he won't keep just one person on that line.

Don't think we'd be interested, or have the pieces, or even want to trade that much, or even want to risk that much cap space.  But he might be on the block.

We have the deepest farm in hockey. We can definitely afford it, but its probably not worth doing. Would most likely cost one of Fowler/Hampus/Vatanan, Rakell, Theodore, 1st pick.

Imagine that.  Put the big body on the offense to create a turnover.  You make a move and juke out the defensemen rush the net, and your teammates follow up the shot and score.
