Apparently we were interested in both Evander Kane and Taylor Hall. Both of which went down to season ending injuries this past week. Looking at getting a top six LW and Top 4 Dman. Will be interesting to see if we give up some of the farm.

The Myers rumor is a joke. Fowler plus additional assets? I'm hoping they go after Michalek or Sekera. They're both UFAs at the end of the year, but I think they will help solidify the D and also won't cost a ton in terms of talent.

As for LW I've seen JvR's name thrown around a bit. A top line with him and the twins would be sick. He, on the other hand, would cost an arm and a leg.

I still think Jagr would be a huge pickup for the Ducks. Wouldn't cost much and still delivers. Figure out the D situation first though.

A site said that the ducks have a 99.9% chance of making the playoffs.  I think we are going to limp in, and give that 0.1% a scare.

They had a few lucky breaks in that game. They also were absolutely dominated in the 3rd. This team has a few holes that need to be addressed or it'll be another early playoff exit again.

According to the report, Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian along with unsigned goalie prospect Jason Kasdorf have been traded from Winnipeg to Buffalo. In exchange, the Jets will receive a package that includes Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, prospects Brendan Lemieux and Joel Armia, and the lowest of Buffalo's three first-round picks going to Winnipeg.

A Toronto writer has linked the Ducks, Kings, and one more team to Dion Phaneuf.

 

Should Toronto Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf return from his hand injury prior to the trade deadline, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reported Sunday there will be a market for him.

According to Garrioch, the Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars and Anaheim Ducks have all shown interest in the 29-year-old.

What about Cody Franson? 

 

I do like that he is signed till 2020.  So not a rental.  7 mil cap hit though.  But being a captain on the Leafs means he's a character guy right?  Don't know much else about him.  Or what Toronto would want.
