Honestly, I don't get why Ibanez just can't be a pinch hitter....let Cron get most of the AB's at DH and use Ibanez as a pinch hitter, like the Phillies did with Jim Thome and the Rockies did with Jason Giambi at the end of their careers.....veteran guys who can draw a walk or hit one out, even if they aren't in their prime.....we have to pay him anyway, he doesn't seem like a guy to cause trouble when he's not playing, why can't he fill that role?

It's amazing.  Over the last ten years, I've gone from being a Scioscia super fan, to apologist, to indifferent, to hater.  I want him gone.

Maybe they're not giving Cron at bats because they're giving Ibanez one last chance to turn things around before DFAing him.
