good one. IIRC the original thread intent was players who are unlikeable, not just players that were bad. 

 

Blanton was another good one, as both he and Frieri had a tendency to make dumb statements to explain away their losses (eg losses, blaming the defenders etc)

Ken Hill had superb stuff, but he was so gutless with it. Constantly nibbling with a great arm. Absolutely hated watching him pitch.

 

As for most hated... Moo Vaughn, and 2nd place isn't even close.

How could I forget Esteban Yan?

 

I went to a game early in my Angels' fandom and Yan was brought into a game. I was incredulous that the guy still wore a major league uniform, let alone the one of my newly-adopted team. Not to disappoint, he quickly justified my incredulity.

 

That game was like old home week earlier on, having been a Braves fan for all of those years, with Kent Mercker and Ron Gant on the Angels' roster.
