I thought the same thing too, Tank. I thought the Chinese President would want to talk to Cheng and I thought "oh shit, this might end badly."

 

Anyone else think that Heller's final scene with the UK Prime Minister was incredibly sad and dark even for 24? Felt so bad for him.

I watched the final 8 episodes over the weekend. It started off too slow for me after the first episode. It wasn't capturing me. So I let it record on the DVR. Then, my brother, who got me into watching the show, started making facebook posts with things like HOLY S#$@ JACK! and whatnot. That's when I knew it would pick up.

 

I couldn't decide who was better with Jack, Kate or Renee Walker. I love Yvonne more than life itself, so I would pick her over Annie Wershing any day of the week. But Annie did a great job for 2 seasons.

 

From what I have heard, the show was a success for FOX and the higher ups think that it will work with this format for future seasons but that nothing was set in stone regarding the shows status going forward.

Next season would be interesting with a Russian setting.

 

The show took a giant quality dive starting in Season 4, but this season definitely had a tighter storyline and the best character development since Season 3.

 

Season 1 was the most powerful and the most tense despite the stakes being the lowest. The only innocent people whose lives were threatened were Palmer, Kim, and Teri. Now, it has to be, "If Jack doesn't find x or capture y in the next 20 minutes, millions of people will die!"

 

If next season was an entire season of Jack escaping Russia, without any impending terrorist threats, it could be an incredible season IMO.

I'd love a season of Jack escaping from Russia. Doesn't need to be a huge terrorist threat. Make it all about Jack. Would be cool if Tony made an appearance too.

Well there has to be CTU because of course there's always a mole in CTU. Which means there's a terrorist threat.
