I had zero expectations when he came to the plate in that situation.

Even if he isn't good enough to hit at 3-0 he is batting number 5 in the lineup, which means he needs to drive in runs. 3-0 was the one count he knew he was going to go with the heater for a strike. I do agree that once it turned 3-1 he was going to strikeout. I'd honestly rather have him out swinging than swinging and missing.

 

It's ok though we still can take the series tomorrow.

If it isn't the bullpen (Wednesday) it's the offense (today). These guys will do whatever they can to make sure they don't get over .500. We all know the world will explode if they ever do.

Ya I had no problem with him taking that pitch. I was actually hoping for a walk because I knew he couldn't get a hit with that kind of pressure.

It looked like a BS call to me. .  even the Fox1 guys who were slurping the Yankees all game thought it was sketchy.

Somewhat surprised Trout didn't try to draw the throw of stealing 3B there for it to maybe sail out and him taking home.  Robertson is SLOOWWW to home plate.  Maybe for tomorrow, perhaps.
