I would place the ball on eBay or another auction service and see what the market values the ball to be. Then inform the team that was my offer.

You could easily buy whatever tickets you wanted with the proceeds.

It is not like the team or Pujols are hurting for cash.

It bothers me when fans feel they are entitled as well.  That they somehow wouldn't do the considerate thing because they are somehow owed something else.
