This is so sad regarding Mountain Lion P-22

Recommended Posts

I've worked in the Pest Control industry for the last 13 years.  I see a lot of things that happen because of careless consumers who just toss around poison like it's no big deal.  We just got notified last week that starting July 1st, they are going to require a Qualified Applicator License in order to purchase the second generation baits.  It won't directly affect my company, which is good, but hopefully it makes it harder for homeowners to purchase it.  Right now, anyone can go to a tack and feed store or go online and buy these baits.

By the way, they were supposed to limit what consumers could buy two years ago yet I have seen no changes to what is accessible to homeowners.  They can still go down to Home Depot and buy the same stuff that was supposed to be banned already.

Second generation are all baits that only need a single feeding in order to give a lethal dose.  It depends what the active ingredient is in your squirrel bait.  Most squirrel baits use diphacinone which will be OK since that takes multiple feedings before giving a lethal dose.

That's good then. Usually I don't find the dead animals but can smell them in their burrows. They are tough to deal with for sure. Do you have suggestions for rabbits? It doesn't have to be lethal but they are destroying my lawn. I have a fat ass bulldog that trys to run them off but they just stare at him now.

Oh and mountain lions are beautiful creatures and I hate seeing them like that.
