Well, found a little bit about him in this article, dude is apparently an infielder the Marlins converted to pitching and he pretty much immediately threw a ton of strikes. Whether he's anything or not, that's kind of impressive:

“I’ve always been good at throwing strikes,” said Brady, whose fastball sits at 91-92 mph. “I like to think it has a little bit of life on it. Maybe it’s deceptive. Maybe it’s my motion.”

“The secondary stuff is something I continue to work on now,” said Brady, who has incorporated a forkball to go with his sinker-slider combo. “That’s the most difficult part for me.”

Interesting acquisition. He certainly seems promising relative to what we already have in the pen, but I'm guessing he's not ready for the bigs this season.

His minor numbers have been pretty steady.  A pure reliever with 63, 53, and 53 IP.  A whip under 1.00 for 2 seasons, and 1.14 for one season.  Looks like he played for Cal and was a middle infielder.

It'll be interesting to see what he can do at AAA.  He has potential.

You'd think after 13 years in the organization that the Jep-ster's future was pretty damned clear. A career 4.53 ERA and 1.470 WHIP is not worthy.  Time to send him down the road kicking horse turds.

I didn't realize he had been kicking around that long.

KEVIN JEPSEN WAS DRAFTED BEFORE THE ANGELS WON THEIR WORLD SERIES. This is blowing my mind.

This is one of the main reasons I seriously question Butchy's ability.

I think he could go kicking down that road along with this "project" that he has been working with for his entire Angels career.

Pretty impressive numbers in AA last year, and over his whole career really, but also a 27 year old reliever who hasn't pitched above AA.

Kind of interesting, I guess.

JD is all over this.
