Puig had a horrible spring, hitting in the low .100's. In the season opener he was 0-5 with 3 K's, but did have three hits in the second game.

Mattingly doesn't seem all that tolerant or patient, to me, but compared to Scioscia, he probably is. Can you imagine if Puig was on Scioscia's roster?

Unless he understands that major league pitchers are paid to get him out and adjust to finding new ways to get him out, he will be a flash in the pan. Remember the look on his face during the Cardinal series last post season? He couldn't understand why his game wasn't working. He is absolutely young enough to turn it around. Hopefully he will be on his third or fourth team by then.

Mattingly better be careful here. If it comes down to the Dodgers having to choose between him and Puig because the two can't function on the same team then Mattingly is gone automatically.
