No active shooters in Baton Rouge, police saying that the person who shot and killed police is dead.

1 officer is in critical condition, just got out of surgery.

reports are that the shooter got the guns from a pawn shop robbery a couple of days ago (if i heard that correctly).

agreed. people have become bolder because they're feeling like the law isn't working for them. honestly, it wouldn't surprise me to see more of these attack events happen. i remember the first time hearing about a road rage incident on a freeway where one driver shot at another, and wondering how in the world that could happen. and then just like that we seemed to have a ton of other freeway shootings from drivers. first dallas and now baton rouge. more could be on the way.

I certainly hope it won't happen, but I have a very bad feeling that something very bad is going to happen in Cleveland this week.

I have a great idea: remove all the police from the inner cities. Everyone wins: blacks hate police, so they win by the police leaving. Police win because they stop getting killed by angry blacks. The rest of us win because the police can be freed up to patrol our neighborhoods and keep us safer.

Clearly the inner cities do a great job policing themselves and don't need the police, so they should go for this.

Once again, the human race showing how fucking awful it can be. To rob someone of their life has so many damning consequences for those left behind. 

I've thought about how I would live my life if anything ever happened to my boys. Seeing that picture brings just as much sadness not knowing how they would handle my life being taken for no reason.

can played a video the shooter made. a 29 year old angry black man who said that bullies only understand violence. he said protesting doesn't get heard, and that a bully only understands when you fight back, and it was time to fight back.

it's possible the shooter phoned in a fake 911 call to lure the police into a trap, some kind of kill zone.
