Even if Bourjos/Trout/Trumbo/Hamilton got injured...I still would not want Wells in the outfield. Calhoun is a better option defensively, and probably offensively

And how many of those 25 HRs by Pop-Up Wells came with runners on base?
Heck, how many came in a close game?
66 rbis on 25 HRs is pretty pathetic run production.

FYI AO. But Kendrys had 73 RBIs on 22 HRs, and he was batting primarily cleanup.

Hanson-Richards for the 5 spot in the rotation looks like the question mark to me.
Hanson will be the front runner, but if he gets knocked around in ST, I think his arm health needs to be questioned. Richards showed a few bright spots last season, and I still think it could, and should be a close race.
Not so bad going into the season with a question who will be the #5 starter.
Does Hanson have minor league options?

And don't forget his amazing .248 OBP that year.

Ya, I do agree with this.

But I don't think Wells is going anywhere unless his attitude changes and he becomes a problem, and I don't see Calhoun leapfrogging Wells in the near future.

Torii Hunter would disapprove of players playing leapfrog.
