| He did awesome in Chicago in 2012. And he had a stretch of starts with Texas where he was pretty good, too. His last start against the A's was pretty unclutch though.
No interest from me, though. I just don't think it's fair to simply say he blew. |

| I think he is much better than you guys are giving him credit for. It is true that he had a down year in 2011 and wasn't very good for Texas, but over the last five years he has, generally speaking, been very good, durable, and consistent. Pitching in a pitcher's park like Anaheim, with a good defense behind him, could make him an excellent #4 starter.
I wouldn't go three years on him, but I would absolutely give him something along the lines of 2/18 with the potential to earn another 6 mil or so based on games started. Of course, maybe some team will give him 3/42. |

Blew in Chicago? Once they put him back in the rotation, he gave them ERA's under 4(twice under 3) for 4 of the last 5 years while racking up a good amount of K's

| He flamed out in the 2nd half last season either due to age or pitching in the AL. Opponents had an .851 OPS off him in Arlington, so imagine him pitching there as the opposing pitcher. It could be as bad as Santana. I wouldn't go anywhere near this guy.

| Why would we want this guy? What a waste of money.
He's had a couple of good seasons for the Cubs and they gave him a huge contract, but he's decent at best. We'll be lucky if he turns in a sub 4.00 ERA next year. I'm guessing a whip somewhere in the 1.4's.
I love pitchers who can't throw strikes. I think we should re-sign K-Rod while we're at it!
I really hope we're not this foolish.

Ya, I rather have one of those guys. Dempster isn't terrible, but he's not my first choice, and especially not for the type of contract he's looking for.
And Joe Saunders should be somewhere around Plan E or F as well.
