I think the Angels have bigger (well, in a sense, smaller) plans than bringing back fat Mathis. Mark my words: a multi-team blockbuster trade involving Miami will bring one of the best defensive catchers of our lifetimes back to Anaheim.

He is unlistenable. His knowledge of the game is incredibly lacking, he has no unique insights into the game besides what he thinks Angels PR wants to hear and resorts to luddite cliches when challenged.
He is the Tony Reagins of Arte Moreno's broadcast "empire". |

The radio happened to be on the station when I took my kids to school. I can't stand him, but I also like to hear what this moron is talking about to laugh at him.
They are better puppets you can have broadcasting for you. RL is like Larry Dallas, the ultimate used car salesman.

Catcher John Buck + $4M for Jeff Mathis, to make the salaries more even. That's actually what the $4M that Miami sent in the deal was for (seriously).
