That catch where he slammed into the wall against the Dodgers and the 3 run homerun he hit in Game 1 of the 2009 ALDS are the biggest ones off the top of my head.

A lot of great moments with Torii. He was my favorite non-Angels player before he was signed and has been my favorite Angels player since then. Wish we could bring him back for another year but what are you gonna do?

Hopefully when he retires he'll come back to the organization in some form. He'd make a great coach but he would also be entertaining as hell behind a mic.

Honestly, off the field at spring training he gave batting gloves and signed them to my daughters. It was rainy and they were about to board a bus to the Dodgers Glendale facility and my girls caught the entire starting lineup walking out the back batting cages behind right field. Kendrick threw them a ball and signed, everyone else ignored them until Torii came out. My girls, ages 12 and 9, were jumping up and down with glee and he had the biggest smile on his face. It was awesome. He will always be ther favorite player.

My second favorite was when I saw him at del taco and he had blown up the shitter while I was waiting outside. Not sure which was more impressive, seeing him at Del, or the stench of his macho combo.

The first one that came to mind was his 3 run HR in game one of the 2009 sweep of Boston in the ALDC.

His three HR game in 2009.

The "Big Game Hunter" game against Cleveland with HRs in consecutive ABs to tie, then win the game.

The huge catch he made in the Weaver/Greinke matchup in 2010.

When he punked pudge rodriguez.

Seriously though, torii had a lot of big moments on the firld, but for me it was all of his stuff off the field. Very charitable, good to the fans, good to the media. Made a big donation to the district attorney this year. Built a little league field in placentia(?). Performed the the MC so to speak of the all star fan fest. Was the 'face' of the team when adenhart was killed. He's been great, really hope he comes back to the team once he retires.

Take note though. Torii went out w good numbers, and AW loves him. But it wasnt too long ago people on here were dogging him.....

Big picture....

I was lucky enough to be at these:

1 Walk off Grand slam. This was my first season as a Season Seat holder.

2 3 Run HR game 1 ALDS vs Boston

3 "walk off robbery" on Mothers day

Those are 3 that I can think of, I'm sure there a lot more! THANKS TORII!! Awesome Angel!

Easily his 3 run shot against Boston, as others have said. I don't think I have ever heard Angels Stadium louder at any other time than when that ball hit the rock pile in centerfield.

Others would be the time when he carried the club in '09, his walk off grand slam, robbing Richie Sexson to end the game. I'll also remember the countless numbers of times he signed something for me back in '08 and '09 when I was still pretty young and obsessed with autographs.

Since all of mine have already been mentioned, I'll talk about a funny one. Last yr. after we signed A.Pujols, he was on Hot Stove & he was SO excited about signing Albert. He was funny as hell & so entertaining! Was the first time I thought, "This guy has GOT to be behind the mic someday!" He's my all-time favorite Angel & I will be extremely sad if he's not there next year. So much fun.

April 7th, 2008 Vs Cleveland. This was the first homestand with Torii wearing Halo Red. He welcomed the fans with a walk-off grandslam down the left field line. This was only a sign of great things to come. Well done Torii!! One of my all time favorite Angels.

When he hit that bomb against Boston, I have never screamed like that in my life, I was yelling expletives for 5 minutes with a smile on my face! And that walk off grandslam agains the Indians. I was freaking after that one too, Torii is really going to be missed, I hope they can somehow sign him because I'm still holding out hope. If just won't feel right looking in the dugout and not seeing Torii, he is still the face of the franchise I don't care what anybody says. We love you Torii and every single halo fan appreciated your time.

Loved and appreciate all those moments mentioned!

He also had a 3 HR game back in 2009 I think against the Padres that helped spark a winning streak against the NL West after that closed door meeting after getting swept by the Rays, didn't he?

I remember watching Angels weekly when he dirt signed and he rolled up to the stadium parking lot in his Bentley and told the guy at the gate that he was Gary Matthews jr. And the guy looks at him like no you're not.... And Torii starts laughing and the guy catches on. Funny stuff

For me personally, it was the late September game at the Ballpark in Arlington this season. Kurt (crampknees) and I were there with tremendous seats only to see the Angels trail the Rangers the entire game in a Greinke vs. Darvish duel, down 4 runs. Torii Hunter with two outs in the top of the ninth drives home the go ahead run with an RBI double off Joe Nathan. It was a nail bitting, clutchtastic experience.

Here's the picture of Torii after he scored in that inning.

Love the moments that were already mentioned. I remember a game I was at where he robbed a homer in dead center. Our right field section started chanting "Tor-ii, Tor-ii," and he turned towards the crowd and you could see the biggest grin on his face even from our seats that were kinda far away. Thought it was pretty funny.

I remember reading a column in the LA Times a few years back. It was a Sunday game when a bunch of little leaguers were walking the dirt track in front of the Angels dugout before a game. Some of the Angels were in the dugout but none were paying much attention to the little leaguers as they peaked into the dugout while walking by. Except for Torii. He was on the steps hi-five'ing the little leaguers as they walked by. Class act and a good person.

It hasn't been mentioned, but the character and team mentality Torii showed when he was asked to move to Right Field to promote Peter Bourjos. Here we have our proud 9 time gold glove Center Fielder and ask him to vacate his position for the good of the team.

Some Hunter flashbacks off the top of my head:

Torii's 3 run Shot leads the charge and helps the Angels finally overcome their playoff rivals vs Boston 2009 ALDS: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=7028453

Torii comes through in Texas and keeps the season alive 9/30/12 : http://losangeles.angels.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=25235975...

After Torii hit his last home run at Angel Stadium, a sort of united feeling ran through the stadium as Torii returned to right field. The crowd became unglued as Torii took his steps to look up at the people in Right Field and picked up around the entire Stadium, as fans began to Chant Torii! Torii! Torii! almost as a show of unity to the Angels FO/Management that Torii is OUR guy and We want Torii back.

Four things Torii:

1) Watching you chase and bear hug Trayvon Robinson after he robbed you of a HR which I thought was priceless!

2) Sitting in the Right Field bleachers and yelling "We love you Torii!" and, as you always do, having you respond and acknowledge us which has always struck me as one of the most down to earth things any player has done for their fans.

3) Your extensive charity work which if it has helped even one child it has done enough (but hopefully more!)!

4) Thank you for all of your efforts making the Angel's a competitive team and thanks for making Angel's baseball fun to watch! Your smile will be missed!

Congratulations Torii on your contract and you will be missed in Anaheim! If Anaheim can't win a championship I hope you do!

The big game Hunter moment for me was his 9th inning takeaway of a Richie Sexon HR. I never jumped out of my seat so fast.

Mostly though I'll remember the two times I talked to Torii -- at photo day and at a signing. I so much enjoyed his joy at engaging with the fans. Total class act. Will still proudly wear my Torii-autographed No 48 T-shirt.

May of 2011. My first extra innings game (hard to believe it took that long) and Hunter came through with the game winning double down the LF line against the Indians.

His grand slam in April 2008 shortly after joining the team.

He and Lackey holding Adenhart's jersey on the field just after his death in April 2009.

His 3 run homer in Game 1 of the 2009 ALDS.

That 16 inning game in September 2010. I was there at the game, there were maybe 8,000 fans left in the last few innings and Torii interacted with the crowd, it was hilarious. Random thing but I'll always remember it.

His big walk offs in September 2012 that kept us in the race.

To Torii if you're reading this, I hope you consider joining the Angels broadcast team in some capacity after retiring. I'll miss your dynamic personality and drive to win. Your never say die attitude down the stretch will always be remembered, as well as 2008/2009 of course. Thank you Torii!
