Well from what I heard from so many on this board he is a can't miss!!!!! JK I don't know how he will do, but let the kids play and get experience. We have to know what we have. While they are at it, let B Wood play again.

Here's a little write up and an audio interview we did with Bourjos just two nights ago before his promotion to the big leagues. http://angelswinblog.blogspot.com/2010/07/angelswincom-talks-to-pet...

Thats right, all we have to do is win 75 to 80 percent of the remaining games.

![]() All-Star Posts: 2741 | I'm guessing Cassevah is being sent down. They only brought him up because the bullpen was used a lot for the game Pineiro got hurt in. Haren and Weaver gave two solid outings and rested the bullpen for us. Plus with the off day tomorrow, bullpen should be well rested now.

Hall of Fame Posts: 13256 Location: Hailing from Parts Unknown | Probably Cassevah. Wood isn't being released. They sent Frandsen down to keep him here. Mike wanted another bat and some better OF defense so it's not all that surprising since Aldridge is on the DL.

Eric - 2010-08-01 2:06 PM Scott34 - 2010-08-01 1:59 PM Bourjos and Trumbo are spinning their tires in AAA, and... we have a spot for Trumbo, and can make room for Bourjos! Trumbo is now almost hitting .300 with the sick power. Bourjos turned 23 in March and is in his first season at AAA. Angel scouts and their AAA manager do not think he's quite ready. There is only a spot for Trumbo is they decide to have Napoli catch everyday. They're not going to do that so 1B is occupied. Stop acting like you're in the know.

Hall of Fame Posts: 11151 | I'm guessing Bourjos will be seeing quite a bit of playing time against lefties with one of Abreu/Matsui getting the day off. Bourjos had a 1.080 OPS against lefties in Salt Lake, while Abreu and Matsui have been struggling against them.

Hall of Fame Posts: 50047 | TheHeathen - 2010-08-01 10:43 PM Right on... Giving credit where credit is due. I can't take all of the credit. :) A lot of people on here have also called for his promotion. Now the key is to be patient with how he starts off at the plate, always starting vs. lefties is a good idea for starters. We know he adds a lot defensively and on the bases, both SORELY needed in 2010. He sure as heck couldn't be as bad at the plate vs. lefties as Abreu and Matsui have been (sub .600 OPS). And his defense is eons better than either of theirs.

Hall of Fame Posts: 50047 | Eric - 2010-08-01 10:51 PM Matsui might be on the way out. Joe Haakenson wrote Bourjos is likely to play LF with Rivera moving to DH. I can like that. Having two really bad vs. lefties hitters in Matsui and Abreu does hamstring the team. I like that Bourjos' OPS vs. lefties at SLC was around 1.100. It won't be that up here for sure, but it's likely to be a lot better than either Abreu's or Matsui's. Willits can start in LF against the tougher righties.
