YES! Time to make a move on the American League West leading Texas Rangers. Would be really nice if we could get some help from the Mariners. With Kinsler and Hamilton out of the lineup...it's possible.

I don't know how he will do, but let the kids play and get experience. We have to know what we have.

While they are at it, let B Wood play again.

Oh yeah, real quick. Here's a little write up and an audio interview we did with Bourjos just two nights ago before his promotion to the big leagues.

Thats right, all we have to do is win 75 to 80 percent of the remaining games.

If he's going to come up here to keep the bench warm, I rather he stay in AAA. If he's going to be playing on a regular basis than I'm glad he's here.

Hopefully they are bringing him up to see how he can do, and if he responds well and plays well, we might be seeing one of these OLD ofers moved in August in a trade.

Really curious who is being taken off the 25-man roster. Is it possible Wood is being released? Probably one of the extra relievers - Cassevah, Kohn - going back to AAA.

I didn't think it would happen... But am pleasently surprised. I don't really care if he hits under .200, just as long as he is aggressive and has a good time, living the dream.

I'd say Cassevah down or Mathis on the DL

I'm guessing Cassevah is being sent down. They only brought him up because the bullpen was used a lot for the game Pineiro got hurt in. Haren and Weaver gave two solid outings and rested the bullpen for us. Plus with the off day tomorrow, bullpen should be well rested now.

Probably Cassevah. Wood isn't being released. They sent Frandsen down to keep him here. Mike wanted another bat and some better OF defense so it's not all that surprising since Aldridge is on the DL.

Scott34 - 2010-08-01 1:59 PM Bourjos and Trumbo are spinning their tires in AAA, and... we have a spot for Trumbo, and can make room for Bourjos! Trumbo is now almost hitting .300 with the sick power.

Bourjos turned 23 in March and is in his first season at AAA. Angel scouts and their AAA manager do not think he's quite ready.

There is only a spot for Trumbo is they decide to have Napoli catch everyday. They're not going to do that so 1B is occupied.

Stop acting like you're in the know.

I'm guessing Bourjos will be seeing quite a bit of playing time against lefties with one of Abreu/Matsui getting the day off.

Bourjos had a 1.080 OPS against lefties in Salt Lake, while Abreu and Matsui have been struggling against them.

Hopefully we're not calling him up here just to sit the entire time he is here. I did notice Juan was hauling ass out there in RF today...maybe Sosh had a talk with him recently about his lazy ass defense? Hopefully Bourjos gets a shot to play.

Bourjos and Rivera at the corners ALWAYS, when a lefty pitches! Only question is...which lousy vs. lefties hitter (Abreu or Matsui) gets to DH?

I can't take all of the credit. :)

A lot of people on here have also called for his promotion.

Now the key is to be patient with how he starts off at the plate, always starting vs. lefties is a good idea for starters.
We know he adds a lot defensively and on the bases, both SORELY needed in 2010.
He sure as heck couldn't be as bad at the plate vs. lefties as Abreu and Matsui have been (sub .600 OPS). And his defense is eons better than either of theirs.

I can like that.

Having two really bad vs. lefties hitters in Matsui and Abreu does hamstring the team.

I like that Bourjos' OPS vs. lefties at SLC was around 1.100. It won't be that up here for sure, but it's likely to be a lot better than either Abreu's or Matsui's.

Willits can start in LF against the tougher righties.

It's going to be interesting to see what they do with all these OFers/DHs in the next couple days.
