Make your plans for this event NOW!! I have already booked my airplane tickets and I'm booking my room at the Sheraton in Tempe (3.5 stars for $69 bucks a night) now.

Sign up in this thread if you can make it this year, include who you're bringing too.

When: March 5th through the 7th.

Fri 3/5 - COL @ LAA - Group outing at the ballpark
Sat 3/6 - LAA @ OAK - Fanfest at Hail Mary's w/ special guest.
Sun 3/7 - OAK @ LAA - Group outing at the ballpark

Where: Tempe, AZ.

Why: Meet up with your AW.com friends and Halo fans in Tempe in what is our 4th official annual event. This is one event that I look forward to more than any of our AW.com events every year. Get in early on Sunday to watch the Angels take BP and meet Tim Mead with Q&A session (tentative). Mingle with AW.com friends and fans over beers and food along with special guests at our shindig held at Hail Mary's on Saturday March 6th at 5:00 p.m. (catering food) and sit with AW.com fans on Sunday when our Halos take on the Oakland A's in Tempe.

I strongly recommend those who have not yet attend one of these events to make it there first next spring. You can ask anyone that has attend on of our AW.com Spring Fanfests and they'll all tell you they had a blast. If money is an issue, hook up with a AW.com member to share a hotel room or PM me and we'll see what we as a website can do to get you out there. Last year, we got Vicky and Chonito out there for the first time. They had a blast!!

Ladies and Gents!!!

Finally we have the menu and the payment info for the Hail Mary's event!

Cost is $24/person and you can PayPal that to

angelswinevents@gmail.com

Please include the screen name and first and last name of those attending.
Everyone in attendance will be receiving a limited edition, numbered ticket, that is suitable for framing at the event!!

the menu will be similar to last year;

Wings
Homemade onion rings
Salad
Pasta w/choice of Marinara or Alfredo
Garlic Bread

Remember - drinks are on your own. They will run a separate tab for you!

The $24 includes food, tax, gratuity, PayPal charges, and the closing off of their main room from 5:00pm til close.

Also don't forget - we will be having a couple of surprise guests - plus, I am told there are going to be raffle prizes as well!

Deadline for payment is Feb 28 as we must give a count no later than March 1 - so don't delay!!

If you have any further questions, PM me!Here's some highlights of our last few ST fanfest events in Tempe.

For those who have been there, you already know how much fun this is. For those who haven't, i would suggest going. It's a blast.

From meeting new Angels ( specifically, AW.com) fans to talking to Tim Mead (and him allowing us into the stadium early), it's an overall great experience.

The dinner event is fun in that it's a chance to really get to know your fellow posters on a personal level. I mean, who would have thought Blarg was actually an ok guy?

Oh, and let's not for The Library.....

Casmonkey & Sister are a go!

Last year was my first ST and my first AW event. It was one of the most fun and exciting weekends I've had! Everyone was amazingly nice and fun in person, and the games were so much fun! Tempe Diablo is a great stadium and it was a whole new experience attending the games with fans who knew SO MUCH about all the players (especially the minor leaguers). It is an Angel Fans MUST-DO event!

It's always tough to pick the perfect time, Tim. I just couldn't do it during the middle of March and I wanted a weekend where the Angels were on the road during the day of our shindig and had games on both Friday and Sunday at home.

I hope you can come out for a couple days for this event. You're a regular to these ST fanfests.

The photographer wasn't the Dodger guy. Otherwise there would be some interesting pictures of the hot tub saturday night

I will be going to Tempe this year though, I'm hooked on going everyear now. I Just cant go during the aw event :(. I'll be there the 22nd - 26th.

ah, Chuck, believe me, I understand. It's tough to arrange this type of event and we're all grateful that you're willing to under-take the task.

much depends on whether I can tie this earlier week into a trip to see my youngest son in San Antonio, Texas where he'll be in training to be a US Army medic.
